ROXY TYG (aka Luna)
This 14.2h beautiful ½ Hanovarian, German Riding Pony is a daughter of the incredible Rubino Bellissimo, an FEI dressage horse and a USA ParaOlympic team contender.
Roxy has a "mature, sensible" mind, is sensitive and forward to ride, and has incredible, smooth "big Hannovarian" gaits (no pony mincing here!) Her compact perfect conformation makes everything easy for her if ridden by a rider who weights under 135 lbs.... she will carry larger people, but it is a challenge for her unless they are very quiet and balanced riders. (Example: her rider/trainer Heidi Masem was 5'7" and 160 pounds, and her current rider is a 5'11' slender beginner.. She could show FEI dressage with the right petite adult rider or could be an A-circuit "Children's Hunter or Jumper". Roxy has been ridden out on the trails as well as in the ring, and is excellent in both environments. Roxy is eligible for "Pony Dressage" competitions, as well as a hunter/jumper show pony. Roxy TYG has had 2 lovely foals, Rey TYG (SOLD) and Rupert TYG (SOLD).
Since Heidi Masem has left our facility and moved to LA to pursue her "real career" Roxy is continuing her training experience with Heidi's younger brother, Josh ( a newby to riding, but a "natural" who was taught to train horses by cats). Who rides one handed as a para-rider.
Roxy's father, Rubino Bellimissimo (Rubinstein, Bolero, Shogun), was long listed in Dressage for both the Olympics and the ParOlympics. He was shown Grand Prix at 9 years old, then was later partnered with an 18 yr old ParOlympian “young rider”, Holly Bergen at I-3 with scores in the high 60's, training with the American Team in Gladstone. Rubino Belissimo also has many offspring winning in the hunter ring.
Roxy's mother is Crispita, a welsh cross pony, who’s lineage includes Jumpin Jack Flash, her welsh grandfather, and Three Bars, the famous TB/quarter horse sire.
