Adelta is a 16.3h reliable, fun and safe jumper. She is appropriate for a quiet-handed Amateur intermediate rider or a confident advanced-beginner working under a trainer. She is ready to show immediately, hauls well, settles into new environments easily, and is well behaved on trails.  She has been shown and jumped at schooling shows, has reliable flying changes, has clinic experience, and has been ridden by two different riders as part of the UC Davis Hunter/Jumper team. Her current rider prefers to jump anywhere from 2’ to 2’6”, but she easily jumps 2'9" to 3’ in a jumping chute with gymnastics, involving tight knees and bascule.

Since COVID-19 restrictions required relocating from UC Davis Equestrian Center, and the LMU fire (which stopped one mile from our home), resulted in persistent unhealthy air quality, she is on a limited work schedule at home on our breeding ranch in Winters. Currently she is doing walking hill work, gymnastic chute jumping, and walking elementary dressage movements.

She is brave, personable, athletic, smart, with no “maintenance issues” other than needing regular normal shoeing. She is more focused on rye, oat, or grass hay (as opposed to alfalfa).

She is being sold because her rider/trainer has graduated from college and will be moving and leaving riding to start her “real” career.
