Rio Serenata  TYG (AKA Joey)

2004 Elegant, 17.3 h 2005 classy gelding is an amateur or child’s hunter/equitation type, but could also rise to the top of the eventing field, with his fancy movement and jumping ability. He is smart, affectionate, kind.

His father was Rio Grande, who was the #1 hunter jumper sire in the US before his demise.  His successful career included representing Canada in the Olympics, and numerous jumping winnings at Spruce Meadows and across the USA.   Rio’s offspring have been very. very successful in the hunter or jumper rings and are prized for their love of jumping and sensible minds.  Rio’s babies are difficult to acquire, and seldom sold, which makes this gelding a very good investment.

He is out of my favorite TB mare: an elegant, quiet, smart, German Oldenburg Main Mare book Thoroughbred mare with mostly British and French lines including

Precipitation (GB), Idle Hour (GB), Floribunda (GB), Pardal (F), Aristophanes (GB), Fallow (IRE), Coal Board (GB), Ratification (GB), Sheshoon (GB), Ruta (FR), Dame d’Atour (FR), Rose Copse (IRE), Sassafras (FR),

And the American greats Dr Fagan, Relic, Olden Times, & Bold Ruler.
